Driving is allowed on Cable Beach. 4WD vehicles only. Vehicle access is from the northern end of Cable Beach Car Park in front of Cable Beach Amphitheatre.

Vehicles must proceed north of the rocks (i.e. to the right) of the concrete driveway that leads you down onto Cable Beach. You need to drive through the rocks and then proceed north as far as you are comfortable.

The speed limit is 15kph. It is enforced and fines and penalties do apply if caught exceeding the speed limit.

Turtle nesting Season will see Cable Beach experience closure between November  & February 2025. If the gate Cable Beach Amphitheater gate is closed – So is Cable Beach!
