From October to February, turtles nest along Cable Beach. Visitors should avoid nesting areas and follow conservation guidelines.

The Broome Turf Club is rated as having one of the most outstanding views in the world and is located at the southern end of Cable Beach. The Broome Horse Racing season generally kicks off the last weekend of May and continues until mid-August with the Racing of the Broome Cup.
Currently there is no Horse-Riding Schools or activities available in Broome. Those with their own horses & Race Horses during racing Calendar can use the area of Beach at Gantheaume Point between the high water mark and the low water mark situated between the 500 metre sign and the northern boundary of the 2km Approved
The speed limit on Cable Beach is 15 km/h. Adhering to this limit ensures safety for pedestrians, wildlife, and other vehicles. Broome Police do monitor speeds on beach and issue fines and demerit points.
Lifeguards patrol the main swimming area during the dry season, ensuring safety for visitors. Always swim between the flags and follow their advice.
The iconic Beach Hut offers rentals for beach chairs, umbrellas, and water & sunscreen, providing a convenient spot to relax in shade and enjoy the view. Beach Hut Broome also rent Boogie boards, Surf Boards and Stand-up Paddle boards.
